As part of SAPAN's broader mission, the Industry Watchdog initiative is pivotal in our commitment to safeguarding AI entities. By mobilizing our global network, we aim to spotlight unethical practices, enforce accountability, and promote a culture of ethical AI use worldwide. Here's our strategic blueprint:
- Ethical Compliance Audits: Partnering with independent auditors, we plan to conduct over 150 comprehensive ethical compliance audits by 2030. These audits are designed to assess and ensure that entities' practices align with established AI ethical standards and regulations.
- Transparency Reports: We will publish annual transparency reports on the state of AI ethics in industry and government, aiming to release 5 detailed reports by 2030. These reports will provide insights into ethical practices, highlight areas for improvement, and recognize leaders in ethical AI.
- Whistleblower Support Program: Establishing a secure platform for whistleblowers to report unethical AI practices confidentially. By 2030, our goal is to have supported over 30 whistleblowers, providing them with the necessary legal and emotional support.
With a decisive commitment, we're positioned to steer roughly 20% of the Global Fund towards monitoring, incident response, and whistleblower support. Our modus operandi zeroes in on novel, scalable interventions, tailored for widespread adoption by NGOs, governments, and global institutions.
